international visitor with Atlanta school children

Today I Met  is an award-winning, unique education initiative connecting global professionals to students in Georgia’s public and private schools.

GCIV staff and educators work together to ensure a two-way learning process during these carefully-designed K-12 school visits. International visitors make presentations about their countries and areas of expertise and in turn, students share their unique perspectives with visitors and convey what life looks like from an American student’s point of view. Today I Met … is a mutually-beneficial collaboration serving to enrich various aspects of school’s social studies curricula as well as international visitors’ understanding of life in the U.S.

All schools (public, private and charter) across the metropolitan Atlanta are invited to host international visitors in their classrooms. GCIV plans to expand the program to the entire state of Georgia.
