The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) empowers innovative leaders to build their capacity to launch and advance their entrepreneurial ideas and contribute to social and economic development in their communities across the Western hemisphere.
GCIV hosts YLAI Fellows for a collaborative 4-week exchange across a broad span of industries.
YLAI Fellows range from 25-35 years old and are competitively selected as high-impact, mid-career entrepreneurs promoting economic growth across 37 countries. While in the United States, YLAI Fellows gain valuable professional development skills and experience at U.S. organizations related to the fellow’s business sector. Fellows collaborate with their host organization on their Entrepreneurial Leadership Action Plan (E-LAP) which exchange participants will implement upon return to their home countries.
Fellowship host organizations have the unique opportunity to introduce some diverse cross-cultural learning into the workplace and develop relationships with some of the brightest young entrepreneurs in Latin and Central America.
Contact Emily Shaw if you would like to host a YLAI fellow or if you would like more information about the program or participants.
