Formed in 1978, IWA brings together women from countries around the world to build friendships and help international newcomers become oriented to life in Atlanta through a network of support and activities.
IWA programs run September to May, with the group meeting at various venues monthly. Previously, meetings were often held in personal homes. In light of COVID, members are presently meeting at outdoor restaurants or patios instead. Each meeting features a speaker on various topics of global interest and cultural enrichment.
