March 21, 2024, Topic: Pandemic Preparation
Looking back at the Covid-19 pandemic, there are many lessons to take away in terms of domestic and international policies. Although this pandemic seems to have waned, how can we apply these lessons to future pandemics? Will countries cooperate, and will a consensus emerge on how to manage global
health challenges?

Speaker: Dr. Monica Schoch-Spana, Johns Hopkins University

Please note, topics and speakers are subject to change dates.

Great Decisions, presented by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA), highlights the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans each year. GCIV is the statewide coordinator for the nonpartisan program. To view the other 2024 topics or learn more about Great Decisions, visit Gciv.org/programs/gd.
