Welcome to GCIV’s Blog
March 11, 2009
The Georgia Council for International Visitors promotes international understanding through citizen diplomacy. Much of our work stems from the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program, which brings emerging leaders from around the globe to the United States to meet their professional counterparts, gain a greater understanding of American society, and enjoy a firsthand experience of the U.S., its people, and its culture.
At this blog you will hear from GCIV staff and volunteers. This is a place for us to tell about our experiences as citizen diplomats, share stories, and connect with each other. We look forward to your participation in this blog and in GCIV’s range of community programs.

Got something to say?

I think some of what’s best about the world is left out of the daily news coverage of the globe. And with GCIV’s Blog more of the world will know of the service this group does by fostering better relations thru it’s program of welcoming people from everywhere with a place to stay, and a relationship to build on.
