Community Programs

GCIV enables Georgia citizens to connect directly with international visitors and learn more about global challenges through various Community Programs.

Exchanges

In addition to the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), GCIV coordinates a wide range of professional exchange programs for the U.S. Department of State and other agencies.

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in an array of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the U.S.

Fee-for-service programs are customized and carefully tailored to deliver program sponsor and participant objectives. GCIV can arrange all programmatic and logistical aspects of international meetings, conferences, dialogues, training programs, fellowships, and other public and private events.
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) sponsors enrichment seminars, conferences and workshops across the United States as part of its flagship Fulbright Program. These enrichment activities, an integral part of the Fulbright experience, benefit the more than 800 Fulbright Visiting Scholars.
